Downloading Windows Live Essentials for Windows 7

1. Go to http://explore.live.com/windows-live-essentials
2. Click on the "Download now" button.
3. A pop-up window will appear saving that you have chosen to open the file wisetup-web.exe. Click on "Save File" as seen below.

4. Once it is downloaded, go to the folder where your downloaded files go (often a folder called Download), and click on the file name to open it. This will install a number of handy little programs that came with Vista.
5. Once these programs have been installed, click on the start button and type "photo"and click on "Windows Live Photo Gallery." The first time that the program opens it will search for all the photos you have then organize them by month and date.
6. To select one of these for the desktop, RIGHT click on it and click on "Set as desktop background."

 

Take time later to look at all of them. They can be found by clicking the start button, then all programs, under Accessories.
