Using Clinical Data
Needles in a haystack: Seeking knowledge with clinical informatics (Feb 2012). This site has links to two pdf files. The first one, from the health Research Insitute of Price Waterhouse-Coopers, describes the need for implementing clinical informatics based on the premise that the need to affordably manage patient care, strategies for data mining, and conducting and integrating evidence-based research will determine how effectively and affordably or organizations can compete in the 21st century. The second one is charts showing results of a survey of where organizations are in this quest. One must register to download the files, but registration is free.
