Copying the Web Address (URL)
Unless you are a very accurate typist it is difficult to type a complicated URL. It is, however, possible to copy it from the address line and paste it anywhere you wish, such as in an email message, or a word processing document. To do this:
- With the page whose URL you wish to copy open in the browser, place your insertion point in the file name in the address bar near the top of the screen and click once.
- The URL will instantly turn darl blue to indicate that the entire URL has been selected.
- Hold down the Ctrl key and tap C (Ctrl-C)
- Switch to the document where you wish to paste the URL
- Hold down the Ctrl key and tap V (Ctrl-V) (NOTE: Ctrl-C is a universal copy key, that is, it will place on the clipboard anything that is selected in any Windows compliant program. Ctrl-V is a universal Windows paste key.)
