Copying and Moving Text
To review the basics of copying and moving text, see pages 66-67 in the text.
Visualization of moving text.
The selected text in the document to the right
will be moved. To move it, on the menu line click on Edit>Cut or Ctrl+X.
In Word 2007, select from the clipboard group on the Home tab.

| The text now looks like the document to the right. |

| The clipboard (see pages 66-67) contains the cut information and if you were to look at it
would look like the information to the right. |

| To paste the information on the clipboard to a new location move the insertion point to
the place where you wish the information you cut from the original document
to be placed and on the menu line click on Edit>Paste or Ctrl+V. |
When you COPY the text, it is placed on the clipboard and the original document also still has the copied text.
When you CUT the text, you also place it on the clipboard, but it is removed from its original location.
