Center a Page Vertically in Word 2003
In Word 2003 you have a choice of either centering vertically all the pages in a document or from the page where your insertion point is in the document.
To center one page see the instructions for creating a title page for an APA paper. If you want to center vertically all the pages from "This point forward," in the preview box at the bottom of the page format dialog box, drop down the box that says "Whole document" and select "This point forward."
Center a Page Vertically in Microsoft Word 2007
- To center the entire document proceed starting with step 3.
- To center just one page. Select all the text on the page to be centered
- Click on Page Layout tab.

- Click the Page Layout arrow on the bottom line of that group.
- Click the Layout tab.
- In the page group under alignment, select center and click ok.

Instructions for Word Perfect
In Word Perfect you can select to center either the entire document, or whatever page your insertion is on. On the menu line, click on Format>Page>Center.
Make your selection from the choices in the box that appears.

If you are in Draft view (Many of us write in this view so we can concentrate on writing, not pagination.) you will not be able to see the header, nor how the text centers itself.
- To see the page in Draft on the menu line click on View>Draft
- To see the page in Print on the menu line view click on View>Page
