Coping with Frames in a Web Page |

Frames are a design tool that splits a Web page into different locations, each of which shows a different file. The main reason for using a frame is that is allows the navigation buttons to remain on the screen at all times. The disadvantage is that if you find a document at that site that you wish to bookmark, you do not know the have Web address or URL. The URL in the location bar is the main URL for the site, not for the document. Thus to return to the document you will need to remember how you arrived at the desired document, often a difficult task.
You will know that you are in a framed Web site if the URL in the address bar does not change when you link to different files.
