Turning Off the Computer
Click on Start, then on Turn Off Computer. Start Screen with image of where to click to turn of computer circled

 

Then click on "Turn Off." For a warm boot (see page 37) instead select "Restart." "Stand By" puts the computer into a sleep mode in which is uses less power. Tapping any key will revive it. WIndows XP Turn Off comptuer dialog box
